The number of patients admitted to hospital and ICU in New South Wales, Australia has doubled in just 7 days, and 96% of those admitted to hospital, and 90% of those admitted to ICU are fully vaccinated.

The NSW Government publish a weekly Covid-19 Weekly Surveillance Report, the most recent of which was published on 20th Jan 22, containing data on Covid-19 cases, hospitalisations, and deaths by vaccination status up to January.
Page 8 of the report (found here), shows us the number of Covid-19 hospitalisations and Covid-19 patients admitted to ICU by vaccination status, and it reveals that since Omicron was allegedly discovered, there have been a total of 3,022 hospitalisations among all those eligible for vaccination (age 12+) in NSW, Australia.
Of those 315 were not-vaccinated, 80 were partly vaccinated, and 2,627 were fully vaccinated. between 26 Nov 21 and 08 Jan 22.

This data alone shows that the vaccinated population account for 90% of hospitalisations in New South Wales, Australia since November 26th 2021.
However, by looking at the previous weeks Covid-19 Surveillance Report we can calculate how many people were admitted to hospital between the 2nd January and 8th January 2022.
According to the NSW Covid-19 Surveillance report published 13th Jan 22, there were a total of 1,578 Covid-19 hospitalisations between 26th Nov 21 and 1st Jan 22.
Of those 251 were not-vaccinated, 47 were partly vaccinated, and 1,280 were fully vaccinated. between 26 Nov 21 and 01 Jan 22.

We can then subtract these figures from the totals given in the most recent report to deduce how many people have been hospitalised between 2nd Jan and 8th Jan 22, a period of 7 days.
By doing this we find that 1,444 people were admitted to hospital with Covid-19 between 2nd Jan and 8th Jan 22, and 96% of them were vaccinated.
Sixty-four of those admitted had not been vaccinated, 33 of those admitted had been partly vaccinated, and a shocking 1,347 of those admitted had been fully vaccinated.

Page 8 of the latest report also shows us the number of Covid-19 patients admitted to ICU between 26th Nov 21 and 8th Jan 22.
We find that that there have been a total of 282 patients admitted to ICU with Covid-19 since Omicron struck NSW, Australia. Of these 55 were not-vaccinated, 12 were partly vaccinated, and 215 were fully vaccinated.

This data alone shows us that since Nov 26th 21, the vaccinated population have accounted for 80% of all patients admitted to ICU with Covid-19.
However, by again looking at the previous weeks Covid-19 Surveillance Report we can calculate how many people were admitted to hospital between the 2nd January and 8th January 2022.
According to the NSW Covid-19 Surveillance report published 13th Jan 22, there were a total of 142 Covid-19 patients admitted to ICU between 26th Nov 21 and 1st Jan 22.

We can then subtract these figures from the totals given in the most recent report to deduce how many people have been admitted to ICU with Covid-19 between 2nd Jan and 8th Jan 22, a period of 7 days.
By doing this we find that 128 people were admitted to ICU with Covid-19 between 2nd Jan and 8th Jan 22, and 90% of them were vaccinated.
Thirteen of those admitted had not been vaccinated, 4 of those admitted had been partly vaccinated, and 111 of those admitted had been fully vaccinated.

These are frightening figures when we consider the fact that the pandemic never really got going in Australia prior to the introduction of a Covid-19 vaccine. But now it looks like that pandemic is just beginning, and it’s very much a pandemic of the fully vaccinated.
